For our growing team we are looking for the next possible date for a

Head of Electrochemical Cell Design (m/f/x)

Your tasks:

• You will lead a team of research engineers responsible for the various aspects of electrochemical cell design.
• You will ensure the adoption of building blocks from pre-development and the realization of functional scaling to cell design or even the introduction of proprietary materials and components by your team.
• You and your team are responsible for the development of manufacturable and scalable recipes, as well as the specification, testing and definition of all electrochemical active components according to the cell design.
• You will manage the collaboration of your team of component experts with our supply chain management teams.
• You define the relevant test routines for performance validation together with Testing & Analytics.
• You are responsible for the coordination with process engineering and mechanical cell design for the realization of the cell design.
• You have to exploite the potential of the team and manage it accordingly.
• You will help shape the company's technology roadmap.
• You have to make sure that all relevant parties are in close contact with each other.

Your profile:

• A successfully completed Master's degree in the field of electrochemistry or materials science - a doctorate would be an advantage
• Experience in the design of lithium-ion cells with regard to electrodes and other electrochemically active components
• Knowledge in scaling technologie to functional battery cells
• Fluent in English
• Communication, consulting, negotiation skills and persuasiveness are among your strengths
• Already coordinated and promoted interdisciplinary teamwork
• Computer skills (MS Office package, SAP)
• Proper in adequately using modern electronic data processing systems
